Firestone Library at Princeton University
Princeton University Library, one of the world’s most distinguished research libraries, consists of the Harvey S. Firestone Memorial Library and 10 special libraries in 11 buildings across campus.
The library's collections include more than 6.9 million books, 6 million microforms, 35,000 linear feet of manuscripts, and impressive holdings of rare books, prints, archives and other material that require special handling. The library's extensive electronic resources include databases and journals, statistical packages, images and digital maps (http://www.princeton.edu/main/library/).
I actually had the pleasure of pretending I was a student for a day at the university. I bought a Princeton t-shirt from the bookstore, went to the library and read an entire book in one of the private alcoves on the second floor overlooking the University Chapel.

About the Author
Ocracoke, NC - I've been coming to the island for about the past 28 years. I've met a lot of great people throughout the years here on the island and have enjoyed the thousands of conversations with the locals and tourists.
Apart from being a world-traveller, I am a graduate student at UNC-G in the Spanish department. I hope to earn a PhD. before I rust.
Another interest I have is old cars and motorcycles. Classic cars especially, have always been my weakness. I enjoy buying and fixing-up old cars. At the moment, my driveway looks like a used-car lot!
After I wash the grease off my hands and arms, I'm can be found dining in a nice restaurant eating well-prepared meals and drinking a nice glass of wine.

Silver Lake

Ocracoke, NC - Originally built in 1904, the Ocracoke Station Coast Guard facility was recently converted to a teaching center for North Carolina educators. The North Carolina Center for Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) is making great use out of this historical building.
In the foreground is Silver Lake. This is where the Swan Quarter and Cedar Island ferries land to load and unload cars and passengers. These ferries take approximately 2:45 to cross the Pamlico Sound. If you want a quicker ferry ride, take Highway 64 east to Manteo and head south on Highway 12 through Cape Hatteras. This ferry is about a 30 minute ride.
Ocracoke Lighthouse

Ocracoke, NC - In 1822, for a charge of $50, the federal government purchased two acres at the south end of Ocracoke Island as the site for a new lighthouse. Constructed by Massachusetts builder Noah Porter and finished in 1823, the tower still stands today. Total cost, including the one story, one bedroom keeper’s house, was $11,359, far below the $20,000 budgeted. (nps.gov/caha/ocracoke)
